Temporary quest: active now, part of an event. “Halloween: Follow-Up Examination” is a Therapist task in Escape from Tarkov. Reward: 40,000 XP. Objectives: Locate the dead scientist in a hazmat suit on Infected Lab or Infected Factory; Open the scientist's body using Medical instruments.…
Good afternoon. It seems Tarkov still won't give us a moment's peace... Yes, I am aware of the infection. Something similar happened not so long ago. Back then, we managed to stop the disease from spreading, with my help among other things. It seems I'll have to get involved again, fortunately, we already know where to start. First, we need to establish whether this is the same pathogen. Bring me a blood sample. Bear in mind, I don't need a specimen you've killed yourself. It must be someone who died from the virus on their own. That is the only way I can be sure the virus had enough time to develop inside them. We absolutely cannot afford to waste time on careless mistakes right now. Head to the infected areas and look for lab personnel in protective suits. I suspect they were the first to bear the brunt of the outbreak.
Objectives
Locate the dead scientist in a hazmat suit on Infected Lab or Infected Factory
Open the scientist's body using Medical instruments
Obtain the blood sample on Infected Lab or Infected Factory
Hand over the blood sample
Tactical notes
WHERE TO GO: Infected Lab or Infected Factory, whichever suits you. Bring Medical tools: each attempt uses one up, and a sample is not guaranteed.
The body wears a hazmat suit. In the Lab: the tunnel to the Sewage Conduit extract in the basement; on the first level — the tented area by the blue keycard room, the reception and the centre of the main working area (O11; it could not be opened before hotfix 1.3.0.1). On the Factory: outside the laboratory, on the tanks by the pumping station, against the rubble next to the offices.
Unlocks once The Best Defense from Skier is accepted.
A Halloween 2026 event task: available while the event lasts.
On completion
Therapist: Excellent work, young man. I'll begin the analysis as soon as possible.
