New game mode “CheckChamber” has been added (Port 5, Iceberg and Bowl maps). Matches in this mode provide double EXP. Weapons have no magazine attached and there are no spare magazines in the gear presets; every weapon is reloaded through the chamber after each shot. New game mode “S.B.E.U. HERO” has been added: Last Hero rules, but each life you get a random weapon build of the kind the Tarkov community jokingly calls “SBEU” — say, a TOZ-106 with a thermal scope or an MP5K with 24× optics. Matches in this mode provide double EXP. Regardless of the selected preset, all players carry an Ushanka ear flap hat and a GP-5 gas mask, and no tactical rig, armor or earpiece; each player has 5 three-slot pockets instead of the usual 4 single-slot ones. New achievement “Crackhead”. Quests added: The Bad Batch SBEU Mimicry Safety First Munchkin Brain Matter Distribution «Heavy is good, heavy is reliable. New game mode “Checkpoint: Knives Out” has been added. Firearms from presets are not available. On match start and upon each respawn, the player receives a random melee weapon. Some melee weapons have increased damage. Checkpoint modes give a 50% bonus to Arena BattlePass EXP. Quests added: KnivesOut - Part 1 KnivesOut - Part 2 KnivesOut - Part 3 The Capture Point now appears 20–40 seconds after the gates open, depending on the Arena size. The Cleanup Crew spawns 60 seconds after the Capture Point appears. The Poison phase begins 20 seconds after the Cleanup Crew enters the field. Total round duration (from gate opening to Poison activation) has been reduced from 155 seconds to 90 seconds. TeamFight no longer has class restrictions within a team. Capture time has been reduced to 7 seconds (except on the “Bowl” map). Capture speed now scales with the number of players involved, similar to the CheckPoint mode. During the event, all TeamFight rewards are increased by 50% (including Arena BattlePass XP). «Boarding area turned into an Arena. Among abandoned shops and shattered storefronts stretch passages to neighboring gates, forming a tangled network of cover and flanking routes.»

All locations are covered in snow, with gifts scattered around and fireworks in the crates. Grenades explode with a firework sound. Season 1 BattlePass gained 20 new levels with gear and skins in winter colours and New Year symbols. New Last Hero arenas modelled on recognisable Escape from Tarkov places: the smugglers' camp on Shoreline; the dorms on Customs; the EMERCOM base on Woods. The SPLINTER WINTER weapon paint kit has been added.
