Ref — briefing

Long story short, the rat situation got pretty ugly. It's only gotten worse. It's like that story with the hydra, you cut off one head and two grow in its place. The people who sent guys to kill you have already sniffed out my part in it. And speaking of “sniffed out”, this whole thing reeks of shit now. Look, you can't trust anyone right now, but you can't afford to lose. Hiding isn't an option either. The smartest thing to do is show those clever bastards what you can do. And if you're lucky, you might be able to take out a few more rats.
