Key to Understanding

“Key to Understanding” is a Fence task in Escape from Tarkov. Reward: 30,000 XP. Objectives: Locate and obtain the Black Division encryption keys; Hand over: the Black Division encryption keys. Walkthrough, map and requirements.

Fence — briefing

Word is you have a knack for other people's hardware. These men carry encryption keys — without them their traffic is just noise. Get them. Do not ask why, you do not want to know.

Objectives

• Locate and obtain the Black Division encryption keys
• Hand over: the Black Division encryption keys

Tactical notes

• WHERE TO LOOK: the encryption keys drop ONLY from Black Division fighters — Terminal and Icebreaker. They never appear in ordinary loot.
• Not every kill yields one, so this task is about persistence rather than a route.
• It is a quest item: not on the flea market.

On completion

Fence: The keys. Good. The rest is not your business.
