“The Huntsman Path - Big Game” is a Jaeger task in Escape from Tarkov. Requires level 1. Reward: 10,000 XP. Objectives: Locate and eliminate Kaban; Locate and eliminate Basmach. Walkthrough, map and requirements.

Jaeger — briefing

I was out hunting the other day and picked up a family in the woods, father and son. Both were exhausted, the boy had a bullet wound. I brought them to my place, treated the kid's wound as best as I could, fed them both. Then I talked to the father - name's Sanych - and it made me disgusted. They both lived in their apartment opposite the car dealership in the city, and for some reason stayed there after the evacuation. Don't know why, but that's not the point. While Sanych went to look for food, some bandits found their house, tied up the kid, and then him when he returned. They brought them both to this car shop and made them work for them, or else they'd both get put down like dogs. The leader's name is Kaban - everybody respects him there, Sanych said. At night the family managed to break out under fire and made it to the woods, where I found them. The son didn't survive - the wound was too severe.... Oh, right, to the point. If there's another bandit in town, you and I are the only ones who can act. Avenge the father's grief and make it so that it doesn't happen to anyone else ever again.

Tactical notes

• THIS BOSS HAS A SINGLE SPAWN — the car dealership grounds. There is nothing to search for; the only question is how to get in.
• Machine guns cover the gates, so a frontal approach fails. The reliable way is a grenade towards the gunner: it either kills him or drives him off, and that is enough to sprint in and take a position. There are snipers on the roofs as well.
• The boss himself is inside the showroom on the left or in the garage box on the right, occasionally outside. HE SHOOTS THROUGH WALLS, so cover protects you less than it looks like it should.
• His body carries the second-floor keys; one of them is single-use and needed for later tasks, so do not waste it.
