“The Cult” is a Peacekeeper task in Escape from Tarkov. Requires level 12. Reward: 6,200 XP. Objectives: Locate the missing informant on Shoreline; Survive and extract from the location. Required for the Kappa container. Walkthrough, map and requirements.

Peacekeeper — briefing

I’m having this strange feeling lately. You know, you’re not the only person I work with, other people provide me with some other services. One particularly sharp informant has been out of touch for a while. The last message from him was about some strange glowing in the area of the old village and voices he heard there. Apparently, he then decided to have a look at what is going on there and went missing. The village was abandoned long ago and mainly consists of wooden huts. Try to find the informant or at least investigate what you can.

Objectives

• Locate the missing informant on Shoreline
• Survive and extract from the location

Tactical notes

• WHERE TO LOOK: the house is in the old village area, by the church on the hill — just to its right. Inside, go through to the far room: the informant's body lies right there on the floor.
• The informant counts as an inspection — there is nobody to shoot there.
• You must extract alive: dying after the inspection resets the progress.

On completion

Peacekeeper: Kurwa! Pardon the swearing, but the situation is just too bizarre. Although, it may even turn out to benefit us.
