“Surplus Goods” is a Mechanic task in Escape from Tarkov. Requires level 13. Reward: 7,500 XP. Objectives: Obtain the MBT Integrated Navigation System on Reserve; Hand over the navigation system to Mechanic. Required for the Kappa container. Walkthrough, map and requirements.

Mechanic — briefing

Hello. I've decided to get involved with military electronics, it's quite a promising business, and I've got interested people for that. And the army, as you know, has the most secure communication: digital encryptions, GPS, GLONASS and all kinds of other things. So anyway, I've got info about some device on Reserve, usually seen in workshops in the service and repair centers, I think it's used in machinery, it's some kind of control and navigation block. I want you to find this block and bring it to me. Would be interesting to see what it has inside of it. I'll reward you of course.

Objectives

• Obtain the MBT Integrated Navigation System on Reserve
• Hand over the navigation system to Mechanic

Tactical notes

• WHERE TO LOOK: the long garage next to the building marked with the white knight. The door opens with the RB-ST key.
• Inside, the item is in an OPEN WOODEN CRATE by the military vehicle — not in a locked container, just out in the open.
• The RB-ST key is not guaranteed: it spawns in several places with a chance each, so the first trip may come up empty.
