Stay Frosty

Event quest: not offered by the trader now. “Stay Frosty” is a Prapor task in Escape from Tarkov. Reward: 15,000 XP. Objectives: Eliminate PMC operatives in Pompon hats while wearing a Ushanka ear flap hat. Walkthrough, map and requirements.

Event: Big Chill · 24 December 2025

Prapor — briefing

Bad news, warrior. You may have thinned out Skier's people, but now he's started hiring PMCs. And the bastard's not backing off one bit. We need to put Skier back in his place. I hear all his so-called allies wear those pompon ski hats. Anyone using it is to be treated as a hostile on sight. Looks like this profiteer wants a real war. Fine then, he'll get one! Until I say otherwise, this task is your top priority. You're not the only one getting this order, so watch your fire alright? Our guys will be wearing ushankas. And you don't go outside without one yourself anymore. Don't take pointless risks.

Objectives

• Eliminate PMC operatives in Pompon hats while wearing a Ushanka ear flap hat

Tactical notes

• The gear must be WORN at the moment of the kill — carrying it in a backpack does not count.

On completion

Prapor: Good work. We fought hard, no doubt about it... Lost plenty of people too. If it were up to me, I'd have avoided all this. But you know how it is. You can't let a bandit like that start believing in himself, or he'll go completely out of control and make things worse for everyone. Be glad you made it out of that mess alive. Take your reward. You earned it.
