“Pest control” is a Jaeger task in Escape from Tarkov. Requires level 17. Reward: 28,000 XP. Objectives: Eliminate 10 Scavs inside the main barracks on Reserve. Required for the Kappa container. Walkthrough, map and requirements.
Jaeger — briefing
Come in, have a seat. You know how angry the local scum makes me, especially the damn looters, I can't stand them. Somebody steals from others to survive, but some do it for profit, and there are especially plenty of the latter ones in Tarkov. Take the military base, for example. I've been there before this whole conflict, it was such a beautiful sight: everything is clean, in order, the ground is almost glittering under the sun. And now the whole place is filled with all sorts of scum and marauders. I have a request for you: go there and let those looters know that you have to stay human in any situation.
Objectives
- Eliminate 10 Scavs inside the main barracks on Reserve
Tactical notes
- A METHOD, NOT A PLACE: go into one of the two barracks and fire UNSUPPRESSED on the ground floor, with pauses. The Scavs come to the noise themselves — no need to chase them across the map.
- Bring plenty of ammo. Pick up the weapons of the dead and fire those too, so your own rounds last longer.
- Past the middle of the raid player Scavs start arriving and it gets riskier. Get the bulk done before then.
On completion
Jaeger: Is it done? The air almost seems fresher now. It's a pity we couldn't get those looters' heads on straight in another way.
