“Blue Fire” is a Story task in Escape from Tarkov. Requires level 1. Objectives: Talk to Mechanic about the EMP blast; Locate and obtain the device fragment. Walkthrough, map and requirements.

Story — briefing

During the assault on the offices some special weapon went off above… I remember a bright blue flash up there before I blacked out. And then all the electronics failed. I've never come across an EMP weapon that powerful. It's worth finding out what technology went off over the city, and who is behind it.

Objectives

• Talk to Mechanic about the EMP blast
• Locate and obtain the device fragment
• Hand over the device fragment to Mechanic
• Plant the hacking device in the server room in The Lab
• Talk to Mechanic
• Mechanic offered to buy the fragment off me. On the one hand, I could make good money on it. On the other, I have no idea what he wants it for or where his "research" will lead.
• EITHER keep the fragment of Item 1156 for yourself
• OR sell the fragment of Item 1156 to Mechanic
• Find a lead on Item 1156
• Investigate the Rus Post office
• Locate the Rus Post car
• Obtain the blueprint for Item 1156
