The most annoying loss in Tarkov is selling something for 12 thousand that you will spend three raids hunting for a week later. We linked tasks to items and produced a list of what gets asked back.

How we counted this

Every task has objectives, and objectives reference concrete items with in-game identifiers. We built a reverse index: from an item to the tasks that require it. The result is 386 items tied to at least one task.

The split by category is telling:

• **barter items** — 135
• **keys** — 74
• **gear** — 67
• **medical** — 41
• **provisions** — 19
• **weapons** — 15
• grenades, ammo, mods, melee, containers — a handful each

Most requested of all

• **WI-FI Camera** — needed by nine tasks. The outright record holder, and people sell it constantly without knowing.
• **Military COFDM transmitter** — five tasks.
• **Bottle of "Fierce Hatchling" moonshine** — five tasks. Yes, moonshine.
• **Cultist knife** — four.
• **Gas analyser**, **LEDX**, **secure flash drive**, **Virtex processor**, **metal fuel tank**, **CPU**, **printed circuit board** — three each.

The pattern is immediate: what gets asked for most is electronics and barter junk, not weapons. Those are exactly the items easiest to sell without a second thought, because individually they are not worth much.

The rule that saves weeks

> If an item looks like rubbish but has its own icon and takes one or two cells, check whether a task needs it before you sell.

On this site that takes a second: every item page has a "Needed for quests" block listing the tasks. And My Summary collects everything worth hoarding, with a "found in raid only" toggle.

What we do not know

An honest caveat: the link is built from in-game item identifiers, and where an objective is phrased as "any item from a category" there is no concrete list — we show the number of options rather than spelling out hundreds of entries. Those objectives do not make it into the reverse index, so the real "what to hoard" list is slightly wider than ours.
